Material & Construction
The shorts are cut from a 100% cotton jersey — a fine-gauge single knit that is soft against the skin, breathable in warm weather and lightly stretchy. That stretch is what lets a pull-on short sit comfortably without a fastening, and it keeps the shape easy through the wash.
The waistband is the defining detail: a wide elastic is set into a gathered, ruffled band to give the paperbag shape, with a decorative drawstring threaded through the front. The leg openings are finished with a double row of stitching for a flat hem that holds its line, and the pockets are set into the side seams so they stay flush rather than sitting on top of the fabric.
